

From Olympic athlete to platinum selling songwriter, Claudio DaMatta is a real Brazilian success story and a singer of the highest caliber. In the show houses of Rio and the biggest festivals nationwide, he is admired and respected for his beautiful voice and emotional interpretations.
He began by singing the music that bathes Rio in suave melodies and rich lyrics; MPB. For several years he dominated the national festival circuit, combining MPB, romantic pop and Brazilian country.







Collaborating with Alvaro Socci in 1989, Claudio moved backstage and began to focus on composing. This resulted in successes with top Brazilian artists such as Xuxa, Ze Ze DiCarmago, and Sandy & Junior and sales of more than 25 million copies. Click here for more details.
In 2003 the pair recorded the CD Alvinho & DaMatta, with Sony Music; a romantic pop selection produced by top Brazilian group Roupa Nova.
Currently, Claudio is working with the English lyricist, Russ Peake, producing a selection of pop/ adult contemporary songs for the international market.
